Remember, it was Nov 14th too?

It took a while to almost every passerby on Ridge to realize that it’s not just another Sunday. So many lovely children in uniforms had gathered near Gaiety Theatre, and they were quite a centre of attraction. However, what I got to overhear was even more inviting: “Look, there’s some food fest going on in there”, “So many children, what’s the occasion?” After all, we are no more kids to remember the Children’s Day. Thankfully, people with the great ‘Umang’ spirit don’t consider their adulthood a restriction against celebrating the special day, rather they made it even better having angels celebrating along.  If only I could rise on time in the morning, I would have joined the kids in the film-festival too that Umang Foundation had organized for the disabled and orphan children. At 25, when you’re forced to act a little serious in life just to justify the virtue of the age, you tend to experience the blues of entering into the thirties. However, now they’d rather entertain me like a teacher in the formals, wearing spectacles. Then, we thought of exams, now we’re forced to think about getting married, I never get what did these 5 years actually change. Then, I would have scribb...

We embraced even a trash, when Montu sold it like a 'star'

A lovely evening began with a sudden 'run-into' union of a couple of old friends. Saying goodbyes after a heart-filled laughter gossip session, the evening moved on. Our legs took my friend and me to traverse the amazing road from Mall Road to Chaura Maidan. We were the perfect ambassadors of the campaign 'I love Shimla. I walk on foot'.  Catching up on what's new in life, being nostalgic about old times, cherishing sweet  memories and making new plans were some of the highlights of our 'walkie-talkie'! Oblivious of what awaits us, we sat at Barista sipping a good cup of coffee. The inclination to buy a few gifts took us from one shop to the other a while later. After the futile visits to the decorative shops we both concluded that buying a gift is one of the hardest tasks especially for the both of us! We finally decided to give a last try at the famous shopping market for tourists - Lakkar Bazaar. Looking at the same wooden stuff, nothing really appealed...
